So this is a cool way to edit!

What a buzz to see my words, right there on my kindle, just like a real e-book!

It's moments like these that keep me motivated.

I don't know what I don't know when it comes to writing a romance novel.

That's because I've never done it before! So I'm using my Instagram account like a journal.

I plan to to keep track of all the things I learn on this crazy, mission impossible journey, as I write my first book.

I'm 39,000 words in, and I'm starting to figure out my writing and editing processes.

When I first started, I would sit down to write and read my entire manuscript before I would start writing. I figured out at about 15,000 words that habit had become problematic.

So now I only review the last scene I've written, that gets me back into the plot and helps me tune in to what I need to write next.

There are so many great editing tips out there: get beta-readers, listen to your draft using text-to-speech, do multiple edit passes such as developmental, line, copy, and critique, and run the whole thing through a software system like Pro Writing Aid.

I'm adding one editing tip that I've come up with myself. Email your manuscript to your Kindle! It's so easy to do and if you format the page sizes to book page dimensions, your manuscript will be even easier to read once in your Kindle library!

And the best part is, you can make notes, and highlight sentences that need work etc. and then email that kindle report to yourself, so it's ready in your inbox for your next writing session!

I must say, I'm rather chuffed with myself to have figured this one out!
