Beginning is one thing. I'm more interested how you keep going?
We're off the boat now.
I've spent a good couple of weeks getting our life sorted for land-living again, so I haven't written for over 18 days š„ŗ.
There's far less life admin when you live on a boat, there's so much more time to write š.
I start full time work on Monday, so that means I have to be really smart about how I get some writing in each week. I have no doubt my weekly word count will suffer š, but I've done a few things to help myself #keepwriting.
š I've set up home screen shortcuts to my #googledocs manuscript on my laptop and my phone.
š I've toggled on Google's 'Available offline' feature so I can access and edit my manuscript even if I don't have internet access.
š I've downloaded Google Drive for Desktop and set it to mirror so my manuscript will sync between my phone and laptop.
Why have I done all these things? Because I read @betholearyauthor's Wikipedia page and discovered she wrote her first novel during her commute. So now that I'm working (again š) I'll be doing what Beth did! Writing on my commute to work. That'll offer up at least 1 hour of writing everyday, well, er, that's the goal anyway.
Wish me luck!
